Laycock Candles was born from a simple desire: to bring the authentic atmosphere of the West Yorkshire landscape into the home.

From the rugged, grounding notes of the moors to the comforting warmth of a farmhouse kitchen, I wanted to curate a collection that truly captured the essence of the place I love.

Curated, Not Just Made

When I started this journey, I made a conscious choice. I am a curator, not a chemist. I didn't want to experiment in my kitchen; I wanted perfection.

That is why Laycock Candles works a little differently. I personally select the specific aromas, design the aesthetic, and dictate the environmental standards. However, I partner with a specialist UK Artisan to manufacture the candles.

With over 10 years of experience, they pour our candles in small batches. This means you get the personal vision of a small business, combined with the safety and technical compliance of an expert.

Sustainable by Design

We believe luxury shouldn't cost the Earth.

  • The Wax: We strictly use a sustainable Coconut & Rapeseed blend (free from paraffin and soy) for a clean, toxin-free burn.
  • The Aromas: We select 100% Pure Essential Oils for our botanical range, and use a Luxury Fragrance Blend for our fruit-based candles (like Yorkshire Harvest) to achieve deeper, richer notes safely.
  • The Packaging: My non-negotiable standard. Every tube and box is biodegradable or recyclable.

Design with Intention

I sought out an expert artisan who could meet the strict standards of Laycock Candles. Together, we finalized a specification that respects both your home and the planet:

  • The Wax: A sustainable Coconut & Rapeseed blend. We chose this to combine a slow, clean burn with a low carbon footprint.
  • The Wick: 100% Pure Cotton. This ensures a stable, consistent flame with no lead or nasty additives.
  • The Ethics: 100% Vegan Friendly. We refuse to accept any animal by-products.
  • The Purity: Toxin-Free. A clean burn that ensures a safe sanctuary for you and your family.
  • The Packaging: Biodegradable or Recyclable. My non-negotiable standard to ensure we keep waste out of landfills.
